One focus of the “youthpart” project was to advise municipalities on the implementation of digital youth participation. These local and regional participation processes were evaluated by nexus and Liquid Democracy e. V.. The aim of the evaluation was to translate the experiences of municipalities and users of the “youthpart” projects into recommendations for action for the client. Among other things, the results were to help develop guidelines for digital youth participation. For the evaluation, the nexus team used quantitative and qualitative social science methods. First, the framework data of all “youthpart” projects were collected. These were topics discussed, goals of participation, community management, etc. In addition, three focus projects were studied more intensively in order to find answers to more complex questions. The “youthpart” project was a multilateral cooperation project initiated and funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ). The aim was to initiate a cross-border exchange process on how more youth participation in the digital society can succeed. Text body
