Global climate change is a major challenge. The international conference in Paris in December 2015 provides a platform for dialog. In the run-up to the conference, citizens’ dialogs are being organized in over 80 countries. On June 6, 2015, people around the world can get involved in the international discussion process on climate change. The dialogue is themed “World Wide Views on Climate and Energy”. For Germany, nexus is organizing the citizens’ dialog on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment. In Berlin, 100 randomly selected citizens are asked to discuss controversial issues with each other and to give their personal opinion.

Topics will be global justice, financial responsibility and climate targets based on concrete questions. The work will be done in small groups of five to six people, facilitated by the project team. The international coordination of the global process lies with a consortium consisting of the Danish Board of Technology (Denmark) and Missions Publiques (France).
