Evaluation of digital youth participation in the project "youthpart"

One focus of the project "youthpart" is to advise municipalities in the implementation of digital youth participation processes. These local and regional participation processes are now being evaluated by nexus and Liquid Democracy e.V. The goal of the evaluation is to translate the experiences of the municipalities and users of the "youthpart" projects into recommendations for action for the commissioning institutions. The results are to assist the development of guidelines for digital youth participation.

The nexus team uses quantitative and qualitative social science methods for the evaluation. Next, the framework data of all "youthpart" projects are recorded. These include discussed topics, goals of participation, community management etc. In addition, three focus projects will be studied intensively in order to find answers to more complex questions.

The project "youthpart" is a multilateral cooperation project initiated and funded by the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ). Its goal is to initiate a transboundary exchange process on possibilities for more youth participation in the digital society.
