In the context of the HubIT project (H2020), nexus organised together with Technische Universität Berlin a designathon on 04-06 December 2020. This event, which was organised online because of the current pandemic situation, aimed at bringing together experts from the fields of SSH and ICT to develop ICT solutions on the fields of health and well-being.
In total, 78 international participants took part in the event organised via devpost, a platform dedicated to the organization of online hackathons. The participants built up teams or competed alone during 2,5 days, during which they received regular feedbacks on the development of their project. In total, 13 project ideas were submitted and judged by an interdisciplinary team of 3 experts. The winning team of the Designathon designed a smart glass App for visualization of Voices and Sounds in case of hearing difficulties.
This event was the last designathon of the working package entitled “practical collaborative events” and under the responsibility of nexus.
